Meet the Organized Stacy Tamboli from Purchasing
Can you share your role as a Purchasing Coordinator and what are your daily responsibilities?
As the purchasing coordinator at IPC, I oversee all aspects of our generic offerings. This includes new vendor setup, item creation, managing new primaries and launches, handling NDC changes, price adjustments (both increases and decreases), and managing discontinued generic items. Additionally, I am responsible for rectifying chargeback rejections that IPC encounters, ensuring they are resolved efficiently and accurately.
What type of project or accomplishment are you proud of and how has that benefited your team?
One of my proudest achievements was spearheading the RFP from our new buying group at IPC last year. Given that most of my department was new at the time, I took the lead on completing a second RFP with a new company, drawing upon my experience within the organization. I successfully managed the RFP process and helped expedite the integration of new items into our warehouse. This not only demonstrated my leadership and organizational skills but also ensured a smooth transition for the team and enabled us to efficiently supply pharmacies with the necessary products.
What do you find most rewarding about your work and how do you strive to make a positive impact within IPC?
I would say in this position, you need to be very organized, which is one of my strengths. I take a lot of pride in having everything completed correctly and quickly and making sure that everything runs smoothly every day. If stuff isn’t working correctly, I will get it going.
We were recently nominated for Top Workplace for Innovation Compensation and Benefits work-life Flexibility and Leadership. Which one of those resonates with you?
Before I came here, I knew of people who had worked at IPC but the primary deciding factor that convinced me to join the team was the work-life balance.
Outside of work, what hobbies or activities are you passionate about?
Outside of work, my primary focus revolves around supporting my children’s activities. My daughter’s involvement in band concerts and my son’s participation in hockey and baseball keep me busy throughout the year. We often travel to different states for my son’s games, which allows us to bond as a family while cheering him on. Additionally, we enjoy family vacations, with Tennessee being a favorite destination that we’ve visited multiple times.
