Michael Monfre: Driving Member Success and Innovation at IPC
What drew you to IPC?
I was drawn to IPC during my first interview as an intern. Despite being a large business, IPC has a small business feel, which I found appealing. This unique culture, combined with the opportunity to work closely with small businesses, interested me from the start.
Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach work?
My biggest influence is my dad. Growing up in a family that valued hard work, I’ve adopted a similar approach in my professional life.
What’s something interesting about yourself that not many people know about?
I played baseball in college, which fostered a strong competitive spirit in me. Although I no longer play at that level, I continue to channel my competitive nature through slow-pitch softball. I participate in competitive leagues, not just casual ones, which allows me to stay active and engaged in a sport I love. As a family we enjoy being outdoors and exploring nature together.
What does your day to day as a Regional Director look like? What’s been most rewarding working with IPC members?
As a Regional Director, my primary focus is on expanding our membership and promoting the iCare+ platform. My daily activities include making outbound calls to potential and current members, discussing the benefits of joining IPC McKesson or the iCare+ platform. The most rewarding part of my job is hearing about the successes of our members. In an industry as challenging as pharmacy, these wins are significant and provide a sense of accomplishment and motivation.

Work-life flexibility is crucial to me, especially as a parent of two young children.
