We hope you enjoyed visiting our booth, attending the annual meeting and reception, and connecting with like-minded individuals who are eager and passionate about serving their communities.
Let’s take a trip down memory lane to revisit the highlights of this week in good ol’ NOLA. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
Everyone’s a Winner!
The IPC Spin-to-Win booth was a crowd favorite at ideaShare. Attendees were eager to step up to the digital wheel hoping for a lucky roll! Multiple participants walked away with $1,000 prizes! Our booth also celebrated multiple $500 winners filling the IPC booth with laughter and excitement. One pharmacy owner with 26 locations spun the wheel and snagged a $500 credit.
Step into the Future with Digital Health
IPC Members had the opportunity to explore the implementation of iCare+ and Digital Health into their businesses at the McKesson ideaShare. They viewed iCare+ products such as home health kits and interoperable remote patient monitoring devices. Members also had the chance to sign up and gain insights on enhancing profitability and expanding their patient reach.
Valuable Knowledge Gained
IPC featured the Presentation Zone in our booth during ideaShare. IPC Members and prospective members gathered to dig into the wealth of knowledge about IPC’s impactful contributions to community pharmacies. From educational insights about Why IPC is the right GPO for community pharmacies to our Pharmacy Services team dedicated to helping pharmacies grow their business; community pharmacy was the name of the game in the Presentation Zone.
The spotlight shone brightest on Mark Kinney, EVP of Government Relations. Attendees were captivated by the insights into IPC’s federal and state successes nationwide. From policy advocacy to building strategic partnerships, the Presentation Zone buzzed with enthusiasm – a true testament to the vital role IPC plays in empowering community pharmacies across the country.
Interviews with Industry Experts
We were happy to play host to Todd Eury of the Pharmacy Podcast Network during ideaShare 2024. Todd conducted insightful interviews with pharmacy leaders from across the United States, shedding light on industry trends, innovations, and challenges. We also had the privilege of hosting State Senator Shane Reeves of Tennessee. Together, they engaged in a compelling conversation about the state of community pharmacy. Keep an eye out for future episodes recapping the successes of ideaShare on the Pharmacy Podcast Network where these discussions will continue to inform and inspire!
Successful Past Year and Getting Future-Ready
The IPC Annual Meeting kicked off with IPC President and CEO, Marc Essensa discussing the changes IPC has made in the past year and how they have positively impacted members. Celebrating with members that the success of these changes allowed IPC to pay out over $28.1 Million in equity this year!
Following Marc’s speech, IPC Digital Health President, Ashton Maaraba, took the stage to discuss the success of the IPC Digital Health program in our beta stores and announce its availability to the entire GPO membership.
IPC Chairperson of the Board, Chris Darling, was next to the stage where he encouraged members to visit other pharmacies and talk to other owners whenever possible to hear their stories and renew their passion.
Medical Arts Pharmacy Named IPC 2024 Most Valuable Pharmacy
IPC is thrilled to announce Medical Arts Pharmacy of Henderson, NC as the recipient of the Dan Moudry Most Valuable Pharmacy (MVP) Award for 2024.
Chocky White graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1969. He moved to Henderson and opened Medical Arts Pharmacy in 1971, starting with a modest 600 sq. ft space in the Vance Medical Arts Building. Initially, he was the sole pharmacist and employee.
